By downloading or using CarGuessr, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
📋 1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the CarGuessr mobile application ("App") and any related services provided by Micom Tech SRL (trading as Design Room), a company registered in Romania, EU ("we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using CarGuessr, you confirm that you are at least 4 years old (or have parental consent if younger), and that you agree to be bound by these Terms.
🎮 2. License to Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use CarGuessr on a device you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems
- Use bots, scripts, or other automated tools to manipulate scores or leaderboards
🏆 3. Game Content & Progress
All in-game content — including car photographs, quiz questions, XP systems, levels, achievements, and Blitz mode mechanics — is owned by Micom Tech or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Your in-game progress (XP, streaks, achievements) is tied to your device. We do not guarantee that progress will be preserved if you uninstall the app, change devices, or in the event of a data loss. Cloud backup, when available, is provided as a convenience feature without warranty.
We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove game content, features, or game mechanics at any time without prior notice.
💳 4. In-App Purchases
CarGuessr may offer optional in-app purchases (e.g., premium features, power-ups, or cosmetic items). All purchases are:
- Processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their respective terms
- Non-refundable unless required by applicable consumer protection law
- Not transferable between accounts or devices
- Subject to the laws of your country of residence
We are not responsible for any unauthorized purchases made through your device. If you believe a purchase was made in error, contact Apple Support or Google Play Support directly.
📸 5. Car Photographs & Intellectual Property
Car photographs used in CarGuessr are either owned by Micom Tech, licensed from third parties, or used under applicable fair use provisions for educational and entertainment purposes. All brand names, logos, and trademarks (e.g., Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche) remain the property of their respective owners. CarGuessr is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any automobile manufacturer.
🔔 6. Daily Challenges & Streaks
Daily challenges reset according to server time. Streaks are tracked based on consecutive days of participation. We do not guarantee the availability of the daily challenge at any specific time, and streak data may be affected by technical issues, app updates, or server maintenance. We are not obligated to restore streaks lost due to technical problems.
🚫 7. Prohibited Conduct
When using CarGuessr, you agree not to:
- Cheat, exploit glitches, or use third-party software to gain unfair advantages
- Manipulate leaderboard rankings through artificial means
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users in any community or social features
- Upload or share content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes third-party rights
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent
Violation of these rules may result in suspension or permanent banning from the App.
⚠️ 8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
CarGuessr is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Micom Tech shall not be liable for:
- Loss of in-game progress, streaks, XP, or achievements
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App
- Third-party services or content accessed through the App
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
🔄 9. Updates & Termination
We may update, modify, or discontinue CarGuessr (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We may also terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms.
Upon termination, your license to use the App immediately ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
🌍 10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, European Union. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of CarGuessr shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of Romanian courts, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also access the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
🔄 11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we update them, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of CarGuessr after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For significant changes, we will provide in-app notification.
